Safety Engineer (f/m/*)

Ihre neue Herausforderung

  • Organization and moderation of component and plant-related risk assessments and documentation of the results
  • Development of safety concepts for iron production plants (direct reduction plants, pelletizing plants, sintering plants) in interdisciplinary cooperation with other departments
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant directives/regulations, and safety standards in product development and implementation in the project
  • Preparation of hazardous area classifications
  • Initiating and checking safety labeling plans for standard and project-specific systems
  • Experience with the Pressure Equipment Directive
  • Elaboration of emergency stop procedures
  • Preparation of safety-relevant product documentation
  • Direct contact person for internal and external questions on product safety
  • Support and control the conformity declaration process according to relevant EU directives/regulations - CE
  • Initiating, coordinating and monitoring measures to rectify product safety deficiencies in close cooperation with the head of the organizational unit
  • Contact person for product safety in product development, product maintenance and project implementation in accordance with relevant standards, laws and guidelines

Ihre Kompetenzen

  • Technical University or technical FH, preferably mechanical engineering, or process engineering
  • Knowledge and practical experience in functional safety, machinery safety, explosion protection and pressure equipment safety
  • Systematic approach, analytical thinking and competence in (safety) methodologies
  • Experience in the field of machine and process safety, preferably training/certification as a safety specialist (Sicherheitsfachkraft)
  • Experience in technical product documentation
  • Knowledge of the relevant EU directives/regulations, laws and standards relating to safety
  • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English
  • Willingness to steadly work with and elaborate results from laws and standards in an international business
  • In-service training for project specific demands in terms of customers and regulations
